Marginal morning settings for Sunday

Hello Friends,

Nothing going on at Dee Why point this morning, and the imminent high tide appeared to be swamping the metre plus 10-sec SSE swell. Looks as though there’s some sort of surf comp going on because there was a line of floats just off the beach north of the club. Wind was light and from the north as of 0900.
Outlook is for it to go NE and pick up to be 15-20 kts this afternoon. The south swell looks like getting knocked down in the process and replaced by NE wind chop. I’m not liking the prospects for the remainder of the week either. There aren’t any interesting systems showing on the models and it would appear we’re in for unrelenting short period wind bump in the marginal to flat range.
Of course it is summer, so nothing too remarkable in that respect.
So, hunt down an exposed stretch of beach this morning, set the expectations appropriately and have a good one!
