Rainy old Monday and tiny but not flat

Hello Friends,

Showery skies over Dee Why this morning. But it looks like it should lighten up in the next few hours. At 0500, swell was 1.7 m from the south at 10 seconds and tide was running out to the low at 1150. Wind was 6-7 kts from the south.
There were half a dozen stalwarts in the water at the point just after 0700. Looked like having a mal was the go as waves were dribbling in at about knee to waist high.
Outlook is for the swell to fade both in size and period, which of course means the waves will be getting smaller and weaker. Wind’s set to go NE later.
The next few days look like being close to flat and beyond that the models are not shaping up too spectacularly. If they have it right, we’re not going to see average periods into double figures until the weekend.
Have yourself a top old Monday everyone!
