Hello Friends,

Ankle to knee plus at Dee Why beach this morning thanks to a metre of 7-sec E wind bump. Wind was light and skies were sunny as the tide was coming into the 1230 high. Beachwatch says the water temp’s 19 and that wind should stay offshore from the west to SW – but it’s set to pick up as we head to a gale warning for S-SW tomorrow.

The swell models have been predicting an uptick tomorrow. The Bureau reckons a couple metres of south swell with 25-30 kts SW wind. As usual it does not predict period, so for that we turn to those models again and they’re predicting 8-9 seconds. It looks as though the pulse will only last into Saturday morning – but the wind’ll be south by then says the Bureau.

Have yourself a great Thursday everyone – and stay happy!

Weather Situation
A low pressure system over the Tasman Sea will establish a vigorous south to southwesterly flow over the waters today. These strong winds with then gradually ease from late Friday as the low moves further east, allowing a ridge of high pressure to build over the state briefly, leading to calmer conditions during Saturday. The next southerly change is expected from late Sunday.
