Windy Tuesday with little waves early

Hello Friends,

The Bureau hoisted the Gale pennant this morning for 25-30 kts of SW wind this morning (it was west 10-15kts as I wrote this). It should go south by lunchtime and when that happens the swell should be heading toward the 3-4 metre mark. The MHL buoys off to the south of us are already showing the swell. At 0500 the Sydney buoy was showing 2 metres from the south at 8 seconds. Eden on the other hand was showing 4 metres at 12 seconds. So it’s on the way. I plan to keep an eye on it and to update later when the swell (and the southerly) kicks in.

Tide’s high at 0820 and will be back to low at 1430.

Outlook is the swell to drop back into the 2 metre/10 sec range from the SE tomorrow, but the models say it should stick around at about that intensity through Sunday. And it also looks like being offshore most of the time as well.

Have a great day and check back later for an update when the swell starts to fill in.
