Icy start but heaps of swell stacking into Dee Why

Hello Friends,

10 degrees and 20 kts of westerly made for a very chilly intro to the day as I climbed aloft to have a look at the swell. Lines are pouring into the point and the beach at Dee Why as of 0700. An hour earlier the Sydney MHL buoy was detecting 2.6m of 9-sec south swell. Tide was dropping to the low at 0810 and will be back to a 1.4m high at 1425.
There was a reasonably large crew at the point and a fair number of punters scattered up the beach too. Wave faces looked to be overhead and a bit on the sets. And it was very consistent.
It should warm up to around 18 later and the wind is expected to hammer along at the current rate all day. Tomorrow looks to be a touch smaller but the wind will continue doing its thing. The longer range outlook is for waves and wind through the weekend.
Have a great day everyone!

Lines stacking into No Mans at 0700
Solid sets at the point for a sizable crew
Mostly shutting down along the beach, but you could get lucky
