"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Glassy start

Hello Friends,

Definitely waves around this morning. And pretty clean too. As the pictures indicate, faces on the bigger ones were solidly shoulder to head high. They had a slowish look, but I don’t think there’ll be many complaints on that score. Consistency seemed on the long-waitish side. Wind early was a light westerly and out at sea the waverider buoy was seeing SSE swell at 2 metres at 10-11 seconds. Tide was coming in to the 1.38m high at 1120.
Should be waves all day with favorable wind direction too. Lot of cloud about, so the prediction of more showers is definitely plausible.

Weather Situation
A trough lying near the coast, extending from a low over inland New South Wales, is forecast to deepen and form a low pressure system near the southern coast later this afternoon or evening. This low looks likely to linger throughout the weekend, bringing increased winds and waves to southern waters. These conditions look set to extend to central and northern parts of the coast on Monday, as the low centre moves north along the coast.
