Little swell pulse for Friday

Hello Friends,

Energy for surfers this morning. Waves were in the waist to maybe chest and bit range but quality at Dee Why looked so-so thanks to a light northerly breeze. Skies were overcast and swell was a bit over a metre at 11 seconds from the east. Tide was low at 0720 and will be back to high at 1400. There’s a 70% chance of the odd light shower and while the swell should come up a bit more, the wind will pick up into the 15-25 kt range as it swings to the S-SW later. Water’s clean and sitting on 19C according to Beachwatch.

Outlook is for a modest and gradual increase in average size across the day as we get a little more south component. Tomorrow might be about the same and then some of the models show a little bump up Sunday along with SW wind. Monday and Tuesday should see surfable but smaller conditions and then we may see a solid but onshore south pulse mid-week.

Have a good one!

Weather Situation

A high pressure ridge lies over the Tasman Sea east of NSW with north to northwesterly winds prevailing. Winds freshening ahead of a series of cold fronts, which will bring a fresh to strong and gusty south to southwesterly change today, and another on Saturday. Winds easing and tending northerly again from Sunday as another high pressure system moves over the region.
