Long lines but getting choppy and messy

Hello Friends,
At 0700 wind was coming from the SSE at 14-19 kts and the skies were partly cloudy. Swell was 1.5 metres at a healthy 12 seconds from the south, but it looked smaller than yesterday and the surface conditions were messy too. A day for the super keen but the rest of us will be getting up to something else.
Outlook is for more of the same across the remainder of the work week and this morning’s longer range swell predictions are not showing any real improvement across the next 7 days – at least.Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the Bight extends a ridge across much of the state, though a weak trough lies over the central and northern waters. The ridge will strengthen as a the high moves east, reaching the Tasman Sea later Thursday or during Friday.
