Lines but options limited

Hello Friends,

Another beautiful morning with a light SW breeze, sunny skies and 1.3 metres of 14-second south swell to go with it. This means long lines (mostly) shutting down the most exposed stretches. Yes, there are the occasional makeable ones, but they are very few and far between. It’s one of those mornings where you’re amongst shoulder to head high plus waves, but actually getting into one and making even a couple of turns before the shut down is a (mostly) forlorn hope. The swell did seem to be refracting around Dee Why point the waits were very long for sets that weren’t consistently makeable. A great morning for an exercise paddle with the added bonuses of lots of duck diving practice and maybe even a fun one.

The swell models don’t look super hopeful, particularly for the remainder of the work week. Maybe this weekend, in the mornings at south magnets…

Go well!

Curly all shutdowns, all the time

Up the beach at Dee Why, lotsa shutdowns.
Dee Why point, setty, but surfable
