"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Dee Why (again) & south Curly @0800

Was out and about as Tuesday got going, so took a closer look at Dee Why and the Collaroy Narrabeen stretch at about 0800-0830. Even though tide was low, the short period NE wind swell was more or less breaking right on the beach at Dee Why. Had to wait forever to get someone on a wave. There were a couple of bods running the rocks at the point on very soft and brief little walls. If I’d had the mal along, I mighta joined them.

Checked out south Narrabeen from Mactier St and can report that there is size (shoulder plus), but very little quality in the chopped up sideshore conditions. The banks just aren’t in very good shape there atm. Didn’t go for a closer look, but from a km away, it seemed that there were waves up at Northy.
