"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Messy but more swell than yesterday

Junky conditions but not flat at the point 0715
A sloppy line showing at No MansĀ

Hello Friends,
Wind was SE 8-10 kts from early and the ocean was looking pretty choppy and smashed up but it did seem to be a bit bigger than this time yesterday. The 0500 MHL data was showing 1.6 metres from the SSE at 9 seconds (yesterday was 7 sec). A number of folks were bobbing around at the point and inside along the beach. In both cases the set waves looked to be in the waist to chest range. Tide is a 1.7m low at 0905 and will then come back into a moderate 1.2 m high at 1455. A fair amount of cloud about early, but it should break up as the day goes along and builds to the high of 25 later. Wind will pick up a bit more and is set to stay SE all day.
The Goat usually drops his forecast on Thursday evenings, but he’s away from his usual haunts at the moment and will try to get it to us later today.

Weather Situation

A high pressure system east of Tasmania extends a ridge to its north, thereby directing predominantly southeasterly winds along the New South Wales coast. As the high slowly drifts east, the southern half of the coast will see a gradual shift to northeasterly winds later today and into the weekend, before a trough brings a southerly change on Monday.
