Swell’s back

Hello Friends,

As of 0800 the wind was WNW at 10 kts and swell at sea was 1.8 metres and coming from the south at 9 seconds. Tide was coming off the 0700 low and will be back to a modest 1.2 m high at 1300.
Did the Manly run this morning and on the way back grabbed some snaps. First stop was Curly. The swell was quite obviously bigger than yesterday and pretty raw and bumpy from the wind. There were a few rideable ones, but you needed to be in the spot and to get a bit lucky.

Checked Dee Why of course. It was noticeably smaller than Curl Curl, but there were some reasonable sized sets from about the club north. The point had a few keen types, but they were doing a lot of waiting for really pretty ordinary and weak looking waist plus sets.

Last stop was Longy where, like Curl Curl, the cross-shore wind and raw swell on low tide were adding up to rather weak looking and messy conditions. Still surfable though if you were keen.
