"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Small to near flat depending on where you look

Hello Friends,

Really tiny at Dee Why and pretty small, but a bit bigger at Surfrider Gardens this morning. Dee Why was in the ankle to knee high range, while from Surfrider Gardens to Northy it’s knee to maybe waist. Wind was coming lightly from the NNE as of 0800. Swell at sea was 0.85 m from the east at a wimpy 7 seconds apart. First tide of the day was a swampy 1.9 metre high at 0725. It’ll bottom out again at 1415. We can expect a high along the beaches of 28 C and of course the wind will kick up into the 15-20 kt range from the NE. Weather should be partly cloudy.

The swell models are looking reasonably hopeful for Monday and Tuesday. They’re showing east swell in the metre plus range with a 10 second period, so there should be a few chest plusses in the mix at magnet spots for the morning sessions. Swell should build into the 2 metre range by Wednesday, but the wind call is for stiff southerlies. The south wind currently looks like being strong for upwards of a week (!) and the models show SE swell running in the 4 metre range from Saturday through to next Wednesday morning (!!) Oh, and the weather promises to be grey and showery too.

Go well with your plans, take your N95 when you’re out and about.
