"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Monday evening at Crescent Head

It’s been a long time since I made a solo surf trip, but when I saw the swell models for the next couple of days, I decided to make the run to Crescent just in case. It’s the first long trip I’ve made in the Tesla too. Turns out finding a charge along the way is not an issue. Charging’s not as fast as filling a tank, but if you combine it with a lunch stop or similar, the trip duration is basically the same.
Anyway, got to Crescent about 1530 to find it wasn’t blown out, so went for a splash in the tropically warm water and caught half a dozen waist to chest high ones. Very low energy swell, so you really needed a mal, and even then you had to surf pretty conservatively to maintain your flow.
Swell should bump up toSmorrow, so I’m hoping for a relatively morning session before the NE’r gets into it.
Outlook for Wednesday is not as good a couple of days ago’s forecast, but I’ll stick around to see if anything eventuates.
Sydney’s prospects look somewhat similar, so best of luck.
I’ll try to get a few more postcards for you tomorrow!

A few postcards from this afternoon for you…
