Friday morning beach picture run – Manly, Freshy, Curly

Made the beach run as usual and can report that the combo of NE wind swell and SSE swell is producing weird (but mostly not in a good way) conditions around the place. There were heaps of folks in the water at Queenscliff and only a few knots of people south of there. It looked really rippy and messy for the most part, but if you were in just the right spot, it was possible to score the odd interesting section (which typically didn’t go far – and ended in a crunching shutdown).
Around the corner at Freshy it was a bit smaller and more lined up. Not too interesting. And Curly was similarly unattractive. Both places had fun looking sections now and again, but you had to be pretty fortunate with positioning and the surface was beat-up looking. About Dee Why, nothing much to add, but that there were more people hopefully bobbing at the point and hardly anyone up the beach.
Have a top Friday!
