"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Unprepossessing

Hello Friends,

Grey and mild with 10-13kts of SSE wind under overcast skies as of 0830 on Thursday morning. Ankle to knee and a bit high waves every now and then at the point, and presumably along the beach north from there. Only people I could see in the water were doing what they could with the sloppy, tiny bumps along said point. The MHL buoy was seeing 1.4m of 6 second period dribble from the S by SSE. Outlook is for the wind to luff along at about the current intensity for the rest of the day and for the swell, such as it is, to dribble away into the unsurfable range. Tide was low at 0740 and will be back to high at 1350. There wasn’t much smoke haze when I grabbed the pics, but the forecast says we could see some by late morning… We’re due to see a high of 25C along the beaches. Beachwatch reports that water has bounced up to 23C, so at least if you go for a swim it should be nice.

The Goat should be along later with his thoughts on the surf prospects across the next week. From what I can see on the models, things look like staying much the same as they are…

Go well and stay safe.

Up and riding 0830
Nothing showing up the beach
