Gales for today and tomorrow

Hello Friends,

Back to cloudy skies and 20-30 kt S-SSW wind for Thursday morning. Swell and seas are 1.7m and 2.8m respectively. The juicy 10+ second stuff we were seeing yesterday has been replaced by 4-5 second period chop. There’s a 95% chance of precipitation in the 20-35mm range. So, not really a morning for a surf, even though the SSW wind was leaving the south corners relatively smooth.

Quiet on the waves front at Dee Why this morning

Weather Situation
A trough and associated cold front has moved along the southern NSW coast overnight bringing a vigorous southerly change that will continuing through central and northern areas today. A low forming in the trough later today will enhance the southerly flow overnight, however the low will quickly move away to the east on Friday. Another front looks set to skim across far southern coastal waters early Saturday after which the next high will extend a ridge along the coast during the weekend.
