Windy and tiny for the early

Hello Friends,

Gathering dark clouds were coming in from the south and there was a gusty WSW breeze as your correspondent climbed aloft to the RealSurf crow’s nest for a look at the conditions. As the picture shows, there was no significant swell activity at Dee Why. However, the Bureau tells us that the swell should fill in by midday but the wind will be coming around to the south at the same time. Unfortunately the models are showing the average period is likely to be in the 7 to 8 second range over the coming days, and that means there probably won’t be much of that straight south energy getting into the protected corners. The ever constant Goat issued his usual Thursday round up of the coming week’s surf prospects and, as always, I commend it to you.

Go well and have a great Friday!

Weather Situation

Southerly winds will be reinforced today as a low develops over the Tasman Sea and a new high approaches from the west. Winds will ease during the weekend as the high moves to the Tasman Sea, bringing a return to northerly winds at the start of the new week.
