Outta control Sunday morning

UPDATE: A few snaps from big Bower. The big crowd had to wait for the sets and most of them looked pretty textured and bumpy…

Hello Friends,

Yeah, naw. Way too big and stormy to be remotely surfable at Dee Why this morning. Swell at sea was 3.6 m at 12-13 seconds from the east (95°) and wind was WSW at 5-7 kts with showery stuff lurking around the edges. If you’re really keen there should be stuff for more experienced riders at the usual protected locations like Collaroy, but the open stretches and the magnets are going to be bonkers.

Swell and wind should back off this afternoon, so maybe a few opportunities will open up and tomorrow could be pretty fun as the swell drops into the more accessible range. Beyond that it seems we’re in for a steady downward trend that could reach absolute flatness by Friday.

Stay safe!
